A little about me...
I've always been intrigued with photography and enjoy browsing through the "old time" photos of days gone by (the history you learn along the way can be very interesting). Yet, it wasn't until I bought my first DSLR camera (in 2007) when I could let my creativity go wild. Up until then, all I had was a small film camera. Remember those? Well, let's just say that you tried not to waste the film...lol. But with digital, there's additional freedom to play around with various techniques and see those results immediately - not to mention, (ahem) your mistakes too! ;)
From that point forward and little by little, I began asking family and friends to pose and learning how to master this craft. I read books and listened to all the experienced pro photographers I could find, along with, of course, shooting and editing. Today, it seems everyone is a photographer. Who would have thought we'd have a camera in nearly every phone? It's an amazing time for digital photography! And with each new day, we all learn new things and new ways to take that beautiful shot that we'll cherish for years.
And that's where we come in... Our goal is not to just take a great picture of you and your family, but instead we strive to capture memories. It's about freezing a moment in time where a person looks their best or family and friends have their closest and dearest people surrounding them, and they can always look back at that photo years down the road and remember all the precious memories that make life sweeter. Even if it's just the little things, like straightening your husband's shirt collar or combing the snarls out of your daughter's hair - just before we assembled to get the shot! After all, it's the people in our lives - our family and friends - who make life an incredible journey!
